Mikoto (FUJITANII Riko) who works at Fujiya, a long-established ryokan in Kyoto, is standing on the banks of the Kibune River behind the annex when she is called by the proprietress and returns to work. However, two minutes later, she somehow finds herself back in the same place as before. Soon after, the head waiter, the waitresses, the cooks and the guests also start to feel something strange and notice a two-minute time loop.

Venue: GSC Mid Valley Megamall
Admission/Bookings: FREE admission. Prior booking is required by registering HERE. (Ticket bookings start on 8 August 2025 at 9:00 AM).

Please note that this film is rated 16 by LPF. Booking for those under 16 is not allowed. We may request age verification when collecting tickets and below the minimum age rating will be denied entry.

LIMITED TO 2 BOOKING PER PERSON ONLY. Screening in Japanese with English subtitles.

 METHOD OF BOOKING 

  1. Book your tickets at https://www.cloudjoi.com/shows/3814-the-weekend-japanese-film-show-in-august-2025-river or scan the QR Code on the right
  2. Fill in your details, number of pax (max 2 per person), and preferred session.
  3. Once you complete your booking, you will receive a confirmation email and a digital ticket with a QR code (1 person 1 QR) from CloudJoi.
    • *Please check ‘Spam’ if it is not in your inbox.
  4. Bring the digital ticket with the QR code (screenshot/printout/email) to our registration table on the day of the screening. We will need to scan it to verify your booking. Do not scan the QR at the GSC autogates.
  5. After scanning, a mini-sheet about the film will be handed out. This sheet acts as proof for entrance into the GSC hall.
  • Ticket bookings will start on 8 August (Friday) 2025 at 9:00AM.
  • Registration counter opens 30 minutes before each showtime.
