The 9th Japanese Speech Contest for Secondary Schools

Contest Objectives
The aim of this contest is to:
1. Provide an opportunity for Japanese language learners at secondary school level to express their opinions and thoughts in Japanese as well as to exhibit proficiency in the language ; and
2. Raise awareness and deepen the understanding amongst secondary school students on the important of intercultural exchange and cross-cultural communication.

Tokyo Prize
The winner will represent Malaysia at the 17th Japanese Speech Award in Tokyo and be awarded a 10 day all-expenses paid study tour program to Japan by invitation of the Education Guardianship Group. This program includes cultural activities, home stay, sightseeing and interaction with high school students from Japan and other countries.

Osaka Prize
A 14-day study tour program to Japan organized by the Japan Foundation Japanese Language Institute, Kansai.
