Experience the fantastic world of woodwind music? With Mi-bemol Saxophone Ensemble

The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur (JFKL) together with The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac), Embassy of Japan and Flute Festival in Malaysia Organising Committee proudly present?The Flute Festival in Malaysia?.

This event is a concert styled event to inspire professionals and amateurs flute lovers not only to collaborate but also enjoy flute music. The concert is adored and waited by many music fans especially woodwind fans from all over the world including Japan. Every year various Flute Festivals are organized in many places in Japan, and this is the first time the Flute Festival brought to Malaysia.

In this concert, audiences have chance to listen to the elegant music of the Flute Orchestra that consists of 60 flute players from Malaysia, Japan and other countries. The splendorous concert will be more colorful and rhythmic with special guest performer, a well-known saxophone ensemble of Japan?Mi-bemol Saxophone Ensemble?.

Ms. NAKAGAWA Keiko (Flute)

This ensemble consists of only congeneric musical instrument such as piccolo, flute, alto flute, bass flute and contra bass flute. It performs extensive repertoire of pieces that creates totally different sound from conventional orchestra that normally includes stringed instrument. Flute players from Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and Australia join this festival.

Mi-bemol Saxophone Ensemble

This unique ensemble consists of only 5 kinds of saxophone from soprano to bass works on every types of musical genre and has attracted many fans because of its dynamic and subtle performance. Since their establishment in 1989, the group has played in many countries in Europe, Asia and USA including New York City’s Carnegie Hall. So far it has released 10 musical CDs.
