Malaysians would not want to miss this opportunity to attend a Japanese tea ceremony. Soak in the atmosphere of this centuries-old tradition that is at once an art form, a spiritual discipline, a platform for socialisation, and a window on Japanese culture. Guests will have a first-hand experience of the ceremony, and can enjoy a seasonal sweet and a cup of matcha (powdered green tea).

The tea ceremony is held in conjunction with Hinamatsuri. Otherwise known as Girls’ Day and celebrated annually on 3 March, the festival sees families in Japan wishing for the happiness and healthy growth of their young daughters.

During this period, households would set up multi-tiered and red-carpeted platforms to display ornamental dolls that are dressed in traditional court attire. JFKL also has its own doll showcase, which is available for view at our Mezzanine Floor gallery before and after the tea ceremony.

2. Upon reservation, visit JFKL by 20 February during opening hours to collect your ticket/s.
3. Maximum of 2 tickets per person.
4. Registration is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Strictly no walk-ins.
