As part of the WA Project 2.0: Partnership to Co-create a Future with the Next Generation, the Japan Foundation is organizing an exchange program to deepen mutual understanding between educators in ASEAN and Japan. This initiative aims to promote regional exchange and support the development of future-ready educators.
From October 26 to November 2, 2025, 26 social studies teachers from the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei (Group B) will be invited to Japan for an eight-day study program in Tokyo and Hiroshima. Participants will attend lectures on Japan’s educational system, visit local schools, explore initiatives related to the SDGs, engage in cultural experiences, and interact with Japanese educators.
Upon returning to their home countries, participants are expected to incorporate their learnings into classes and lectures on Japanese society and culture, fostering the next generation of educators who will continue strengthening ASEAN-Japan ties.
