The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur offers a loaning programme of Japanese cultural materials. The objective of this programme is for the respective events to engage and promote Japanese cultures. However, the usage of these cultural materials is mainly for showcasing or educational purposes only; the event shall be free of charge and open to the public.

Procedure of applying
Download the list of cultural items and the application form, please read carefully the terms and conditions.
If you are eligible and agree with the terms, please fill up the application form, a letter of request and event proposal that shall be submitted by using the letterhead of the relevant organisations, then send it to grant[at]jfkl[dot]org[dot]my
Please note that letters from students will not be accepted. Letter of request shall be signed by authorized person of the organisation e.g. school principal, lecturer-in-charge of the project, etc.
The template of the letter of request shall include the following information:
- Name, position and contact details of the borrower
- Event Details : Name of event, date and venue
- Purpose of loaning
The letter shall be addressed to “Director of The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur” as follows:
