DESCRIPTION:Show Me the Way to the Station\n(駅までの道をおしえて)\n \n(HASHIMOTO Naoki / 2019 / 127min / P12)\n\n\n\n\n\nSayaka (Chise Niisu) is an 8 year-old girl who lives with her mother (Maki Sakai) and father (Kenichi Takitoh) on a coast road along which runs a red train. Unable to accept the death of her dog Lou while she was away on a school trip\, Sayaka searches for him in all the places they used to go together.\n\nOne day in an empty field that Lou discovered\, apparently once the site of a now abandoned rail line\, she encounters another dog. It disappears\, but a few days later she finds it in front of a local coffee shop. From Fuse (Yoshi Oida)\, the cantankerous-seeming old man who owns it\, she learns that the dog found its way to the shop\, where Fuse named it ‘Ruth’. It is a jazz coffee shop in a decades-old style\, and we learn that many years ago Fuse lost his son\, a death which he is still unwilling to accept.\n\nOne weekend Sayaka and Fuse go to the seaside. There they both find ‘something’.
