Various events related to Japanese culture are being held to celebrate the friendship between Japan and Malaysia during this memorable year. JF will invite SUZUKI Konomi\, who won the All-Japan Anime Song Grand Prix and debuted as a singer at the age of 15 in 2012\, making this year the tenth anniversary of her debut\, to perform in Malaysia\, where she will serve as a highlight of the 40th anniversary of the “Look East Policy.”Since her debut\, SUZUKI Konomi has wowed fans not only in Japan but all over the world with her compelling singing talent and beautiful voice\, while collaborating with various anime works and releasing numerous anime songs. Her concert at Comic Fiesta\, which is one of Southeast Asia’s largest anime events and is being held for the first time in three years\, will be an opportunity to convey the appeal of anime songs\, a unique aspect of Japanese culture\, through live singing.\n\nThe concert is scheduled to be streamed via “STAGE BEYOND BORDERS—Selection of Japanese Performances\,” JF’s online streaming project for stage performances\, starting in spring of 2023\, so that people around the world who were unable to attend in person can experience the day’s excitement. She won the Fifth All-Japan Anime Song Grand Prix in 2011 and debuted at the age of 15 with "CHOIR JAIL" in the following year. She has sung the theme songs to many anime TV series\, including "This Game\," the opening theme to the anime series "No Game\, No Life\," and "Redo\," the opening theme to the anime series "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World." In the anime TV series "LOST SONG\," which began airing in April 2018\, she costarred as a voice actress with TAMURA Yukari and sang the opening theme Utaeba Soko ni Kimi ga Iru Kara ("If I Sing\, You'll Be There"). Reason why!!\," the opening theme to the anime TV series "LoveFlops."​​​​​\n\n\n  ABOUT COMIC FIESTA  \n\n \nOFFICIAL WEBSITE\n \n\n\nComic Fiesta is one of Southeast Asia’s largest animation\, comic\, and game events. It brings together numerous comic artists\, illustrators\, cosplayers\, and other people involved in the subculture\, making it Malaysia’s leading subculture festival. The festival was launched in 2002 with the aim of spreading animation\, comic\, and game culture in Malaysia. It is held for two days in December. Although the festival only drew about 500 visitors when it was held for the first time in 2002\, by 2019\, it had expanded in scale to 65\,000 visitors.\n\nHowever\, following the 2019 festival\, the 2020 and 2021 festivals were called off due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
