He is a certified Kita school Noh instructor\, and had studied all aspects of Noh performances with a special concentration in movement and music. A professor of Musashino University in Tokyo\, he directs an on-going Noh training project.  He had co-authored a series of Noh performance guides published by the National Noh Theatre in Tokyo.  He had also led extended Noh performance projects in Australia\, India\, Hong Kong\, the UK\, the US\, Canada\, and most recently at the University of Hawaii.  He had composed\, directed\, and performed eight Noh performances in English\, and had released an English CD entitled Noh by the Japanese Teichiku Records.
