But rather through a weave of movements\, both graceful and grotesque; with an ethereal soundscape\, of wails\, words and music; and with sometimes shocking tableaux.\nShakespeare’s text and scenes are deconstructed and new possible (maybe even probable) structures imposed to test the tension within the text\, and the tension between the text and movements. This process allows for a focusing on and a magnifying of the key themes and metaphors\, as the performance plays with the images in the Bard’s most popular love tragedy.\nThe string of (re)presented images are interwoven with the Javanese dance of Rama and Shinta?another story of star-crossed lovers. Side by side\, they echo\, complement and contrast each other.\nEvent details :\nDate      : 9th ? 10th November 2018\nTime      : 8:30pm\nVenue  : Black Box\, Publika Shopping Mall\, Jalan Dutamas\, KL\nTicket Price: RM68 [Early Bird]\, RM88 [Normal Price]\n*Early Bird price valid before 1st November*\nTo Purchase tickets:\nWalk in to: Aku Cafe & Gallery\, 8\, Jln Panggong\, City Centre\, KL\nWhatsapp to: +6012 362 2939\n \nProgramme 2 :  Earth Womb | A Mediative Performance by Dai Matsuoka & Lee Swee Keong[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image source="external_link" onclick="img_link_large" img_link_target="_blank" custom_src="https://www.jfkl.org.my/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Nyoba-kan-1-304x429-1.jpg" css=".vc_custom_1655775845155{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}"][vc_column_text]Based on the story of K?itigarbha\, a bodhisattva primarily revered in East Asian Buddhism and usually depicted as a Buddhist monk.\nHe is often regarded as the bodhisattva of hell-beings\, as well as the guardian of children and patron deity of deceased children and aborted fetuses in Japanese culture\, where he is known as Jiz? or Ojiz?-sama\, as a protector of children.\nEarth Womb\, a meditative performance with visual of space and installation art.\nEvent details :\nDate: 30th November ? 1st December 2018\nTime: 8:30pm\nVenue: Take A Shot: Studio Cafe (1\, Jalan Teras 3\, Taman Industri Selesa Jaya\, 43300 Seri Kembangan\, Selangor\nTicket Price: RM88 [Early Bird]\, RM108 [Normal Price]\n*Early Bird price valid before 18th November*\nTo Purchase tickets:\nWalk in to: Aku Cafe & Gallery\, 8\, Jln Panggong\, City Centre\, KL\nWhatsapp to: +6012 362 2939\n \nProgramme 3 : Butoh dance workshop by Dai Matsuoka[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image source="external_link" onclick="img_link_large" img_link_target="_blank" custom_src="https://www.jfkl.org.my/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Butoh-dance-wokrshop-630x233-1.jpg" css=".vc_custom_1655775887155{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}"][vc_column_text]The aim of this workshop is not only to learn the basics of Butoh choreography\, but also to pursue for the neutral body that opens for creativity and communication.
