The details are as follows:\n\n \n\n1) JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL 20th Anniversary Short Film Workshop for Teens with Lim Kah Wai / 日本映画祭20周年記念 リム・カーワイによる中学生短編映画ワークショップ\n\n \n\nTo celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Japanese Film Festival\, JFKL is organising a 5-day filmmaking workshop for Malaysian and Japanese youths residing in Malaysia with the opportunity to learn the art of filmmaking with director Lim Kah Wai. Mr. Lim Kah Wai is a Malaysian filmmaker who has been based in Japan for over a decade. He is also known for directing\, writing and producing his own films\, including Your Lovely Smile\, Fly me to Minami and No Where\, Now Here.\n\n \n\nFrom ideation to production and editing\, the participants will be given the chance to produce collaborative cross cultural short films under the guidance of Kah Wai and the best short film will be screened at the opening of the JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL 2024!\n\n \n\nWorkshop Details:\nDuration: 28 Aug – 1 Sept 2024\nEligibility: Malaysian and Japanese residing in Malaysia\, age 13 to 15 years old. No prior experience required!\nParticipation Fee: Free\n\n \n\nApplication period for the workshop starts 5th August 2024 and closes on 19th August 2024.\n\n \n\nSelected participants will be announced on the 21st August 2024. 10 Malaysian and 10 Japanese applicants will be selected.\n\n \n\n\nDownload the guidelines and application forms below to start the application process.
