This inspiring event\, held at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences\, UM\, aims to foster a deeper understanding of Japan among Malaysian youth through a series of thought-provoking sessions\, student presentations\, and expert discussions.\n\nThis year’s symposium is held in conjunction with the Japanese Studies Essay Contest and Mentorship Programme\, which encourages Malaysian students to explore critical issues related to Japan and Japanese Studies. Selected mentees from various universities worked closely with established mentors to develop essays on topics ranging from Japan’s healthcare system to the country's contributions to global sustainability goals. The event offers a platform for these mentees to present their award-winning insights and share their journey of growth with an audience of peers and professionals. Under the guidance of their mentors\, the mentees have been writing essays in their chosen fields. After submitting their essays\, we’re excited to announce that the Winners Announcement is coming up next week! \n\nJoin us for the online announcement\, where the judging committee will reveal the winning essays\, on 3 November 2024 (Sunday) at 9:30 AM via Microsoft Teams.
