jfkl_26speech.jpgThe Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, the Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur (JFKL), the Japanese Chamber of Trade & Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM) and the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur (JCKL) in cooperation with the Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia, will be organizing the 26thJapanese Language Speech Contest for open category.

The objective of this contest is to provide opportunity for Japanese language learners to express their opinions and thoughts in Japanese as well as to show their skills in the language, to raise awareness and to deepen understanding among Malaysian people on the importance of intercultural and cross-cultural communication. Top 2 winners will be invited for a 8-Day Study Tour to Japan.
There would also be a Furoshiki Workshop held on the same day. ‘Furoshiki’ is a type of Japanese traditional cloth. Using various knotting, folding, and twisting techniques ‘Furoshiki’ could be ideally used to carry things. It can also serve as a unique gift-wrap. Participation is free.  To join this event, you need to register at the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur at the 8 August 2010, 12.30pm. No reservation is required. First-come, first-served.furoshiki1_1.gif
