The JFKL Library is open to members and non-members. It offers a quiet environment conducive for studying and quiet reading. The library has a wide range of collection ranging from books, magazines, comics, CDs and DVDs. Free wifi is available.

  • Japan-related books in English, Japanese & Malay
  • Reference materials: Japanese-language dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, specialised dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, atlases, etc.
  • Periodicals and newspapers
  • Videos and DVDs: feature films, performing arts and other subjects
  • Music recordings: Japanese composers and performers

Tuesday–Friday:
10.30 a.m.–6.30 p.m.

Saturday:
10.00 a.m.–6.00 p.m.

Sunday, Monday & Public Holidays:
Closed

In observance of the Ramadan fasting period, please be informed of the library’s new opening hours that will go into effect starting 27 May (Saturday) until 23 June (Friday):

Tuesday–Saturday: 9.30 a.m.–5.30 p.m.

Members who wish to return borrowed materials on these days may do so via the library dropbox in front of the JFKL entrance.
