The Japan Foundation Grant Programs 2008-09
The Japan Foundation (JF) cordially invites educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and individuals (for selected programs only) who are residing in Malaysia to apply for JF Grant Programs as follows:
I. Arts and Cultural Exchange
II. Japanese Studies Overseas and Intellectual Exchange Conference
III. Japanese Language Education

This program covers partial expenses for implementing intellectual activities and cultural events. The grant is awarded to projects, which can enhance understanding of Japan in social sciences and humanities or arts/cultural field, and further promote international collaborations through intellectual exchange activities. The offer is opened throughout the year. Interested applicants are required to submit a simple proposal (1-2pages) about the project to JFKL at least two months before the commencement date of the project. Guidelines Grantees List
This program is designed to support overseas citizen/youth groups conducting international exchange projects through visiting Japan, with the objective of nurturing mutual understanding between Japan and abroad at the grass-roots level. Projects must be held before 31 March 2008, however application must be submitted at least two months before the commencement date of the project. Principally, this grant does not cover the following types of projects:
